Our building is designed specifically for preschool children and offers disabled access. Our inside area is well equipped to enhance imaginative play, exploration and learning, children enjoy our fabulous role play corner which is often used as a home, shop, post office, travel agent and café

The children have unlimited access to our computer and have recently raised money to fund the purchase of Percy’s Learning Box, a new computer programme with learning activities accessible to all.

To the front of the building we have a playground with the following play equipment:

  • cars
  • bikes
  • scooters
  • slides
  • playhouse
  • soft play
  • climbing frame and slides
  • water and sand areas

The outside area constantly changes with the latest theme and the children are encouraged to use it at all times of the year.

To the rear of the building is our wildlife garden; a large nature area with many trees, plants and our own living willow structure. Tyre swings hang from trees and the children grow vegetables in the vegetable patch, or dig for buried treasure. In the summer, picnics are frequently held in this area and parents are very welcome to join us. We also partake in forest school, which is a firm favourite with all the children.
natureWe are located within the grounds of Meare Village Primary School and this close proximity and our well developed links aid the children in their transition to primary school.

We share use of the school playing field which gives the children a great deal of running space and is invaluable for our famous sports days and weekly football sessions! We like to visit the school’s chickens, explore the field for scavenger and bug hunts, and have even made snowmen and snow angels when the weather is right!
